Over the years, I have often been asked: Why do you continue to work so hard when you are already financially free? To be honest, not everyone has the opportunity to change the world, but I am making history. Since I'm here, why not give it a try? As the ancients said, "In poverty, be self-disciplined; in success, benefit all."

In the second and third-tier cities of India, there is a group of women aged 36 to 50. Their mothers never had their own bank accounts throughout their lives, and neither did they until a year ago. Over the past year, they have become one of our fastest-growing user groups. The voices that no one listened to are quietly reclaiming their right to information, decision-making about their own money, and the future of their families from the outdated system. They are entering a faster, more efficient, and lower-cost financial world. Just like me 12 years ago, they are starting to think for the first time, "What is money?" This is more important than any grand narrative.

Over the years, Binance has done thousands of small things in rural South Africa, Brazil, and India: scholarships, training, and the most basic financial literacy classes. They may be small, but they are happening one by one. I don't like the term "empowering women." It sounds like someone holding the key and deciding whether to open the door for you. What I prefer to do is to remove that door and allow more people to enter. They should decide for themselves what kind of person to become and what kind of life to lead.

3. From 3 Billion to 30 Billion

Back when we said Binance aimed to serve 1 billion users, people outside thought we were daydreaming. Today, with over 300 million users, 1 billion is no longer a distant dream. Therefore, this year we have revised our goal to 30 billion.

To be honest, before I said this, I also had thoughts: Is this number right? Are we worthy of it? But one thing I am sure of is this: if we don't set our goal here, no one will do it for these 30 billion people.

30 billion is approximately the number of adults worldwide who have not yet entered the formal financial system. This means that what we need to do is no longer just a cryptocurrency exchange platform but a financial infrastructure that can support the daily lives of 30 billion people.

AI is reshaping productivity. But if productivity belongs only to a few companies, that is not a revolution; it's a new monopoly. Over the past year, we have gradually placed many tools that were previously only affordable for professional institutions into the hands of ordinary users: allowing a non-coder to have AI help optimize their decisions, enabling someone new to crypto to ask the questions they want in plain language. Finance should not be the language of a few.

Blockchain aims to solve another issue: ensuring that everyone who uses AI can get their fair share of the value created by AI. Only when these two things come together is it possible to support the journey from 3 billion to 30 billion.
