$60 Chinese Investor Who Bought Bitcoin Found Dead in Mysterious Paraguay Mansion?
Original Title: "Bloodbath in Paraguay: The 30-Story Plunge of Harry Yeh"

On August 7, 2026, Paraguayan local media outlet La Tribuna reported that a Chinese man was found dead outside the Jade Park luxury apartment building in the Trinidad area of Asunción, Paraguay. The preliminary identification confirmed him as Harry Chun Tak Yeh (叶俊德), known as @harryyeh on social media, the Founder and Managing Partner of Quantum Fintech Group.

According to local police reports, his fall was initially estimated to have occurred in the early hours of last Tuesday local time, plummeting from the 30th floor of the building, which is one of the tallest in the neighborhood. His body was found completely naked and covered in a black plastic bag. Investigators then examined his associated 30th-floor apartment, finding the door open and the interior in disarray. Another apartment on the 27th floor of the same building linked to him was also processed by the forensic department. His 29-year-old Brazilian girlfriend, who resides on a lower floor of the same building, claimed no knowledge of the incident.

The Paraguayan police's Homicide Division and Forensic Department have collected evidence and handed it over to the prosecutor's office. The prosecutor is currently investigating various possibilities such as accident, suspected suicide, and homicide, with the body sent to the morgue for autopsy. As of now, there is no official final conclusion.

Former Investor in Multiple Projects

According to his official website harryyeh.com, Harry Yeh was a Managing Director at Quantum Fintech Group, a company that focuses on investment management in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and digital asset space, seeking above-market returns for clients and partners. The website specifically states that during his tenure operating the company, he founded and became a seed investor in LIF3 and L3 Reserve. LIF3 is a full-stack DeFi ecosystem, while L3 Reserve is the issuer of L3USD, positioned as a variable-collateral stable asset.

The website indicates that Harry Yeh has over 25 years of experience in technology and business, having served as a Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of several startup companies, along with years of experience in stock, options, and forex trading. Public records show he was born in Hong Kong and moved to Canada during his childhood.

In 2013, when the price of Bitcoin was around $60, he entered the market and launched his first fund with approximately $250,000. Early on, he conducted OTC trades, market-making, and related fund management through Binary Fintech Group.

2021 was a key year. In September of that year, Tomb Finance (an algorithmic stablecoin project deployed on Fantom, involving tokens such as TOMB, TSHARE, TBOND) set up a sell tax called the Gatekeeper Tax to prevent whale dumping, which was exploited through social engineering, leading to a liquidation panic. Harry Yeh announced that he and his team would take over, and on September 11, detailed plans were revealed. Subsequently, using leverage and intense public relations, he managed to temporarily push Tomb Finance's TVL to a historic high of $1.6 billion in January 2022. However, the project's tokens have now plummeted close to zero, with the last X post dating back to February 2025.

During the same period, he was a significant early supporter and promoter of the Fantom ecosystem, expressing optimism for FTM publicly on multiple occasions and sharing insights at related conferences.

Starting in 2022, he began promoting LIF3. The project was positioned as an improvement and extension of Tomb, emphasizing accessibility and security, and providing functions such as trading, yield farming, liquidity provision, derivatives, and more. His X social media account has long mentioned token symbols such as LIF3, TOMB, FTM, TSHARE, L3USD.

His public image tends to be ostentatious. While he has not flaunted a lavish lifestyle on X, he has frequently showcased a top-tier luxury life on INS, including private jets and luxury yachts. The crypto community's opinion of him is polarized, initially seen by some as an OG who helped the ecosystem expand rapidly, but later facing many doubts about the project's sustainability and team transparency.

The crypto industry has not been immune to high-net-worth participants' abnormal death events.

In 2025, Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder of the now-defunct Turkish exchange Thodex, died in prison. His lawyer stated that he had recently isolated himself and refused to see his family, with initial forensic assessments leaning towards suicide. That same year, Ukrainian crypto figure Konstantin Galish (Kostya Kudo) was found shot dead in his car in Kyiv, with the police mentioning suicidal tendencies and a farewell message, occurring amidst a significant market downturn. In early 2026, a man in Hong Kong fell from his residence after suffering losses of about $1.2 million from crypto investments, with the police classifying it as a high-rise fall.

In these cases, official conclusions often coexist with community speculation. The Harry Yeh incident is currently in the early stages of investigation. Scene details (nudity, plastic bag, messy apartment) have indeed raised suspicions of more than just an accident or suicide, but any definitive conclusions are premature until autopsy results and more evidence are released.

On-chain wealth can accumulate rapidly, but off-chain security, privacy, and mental health need to be given more attention by each crypto player.
