Musk: Chinese AI Could Become Leader, AI Intelligence May Surpass Human Race in Five Years

Musk pointed out that China's power generation has exceeded the sum of the United States, Europe, and India, and may even surpass the United States in the future. He believes that the U.S.'s restrictions on exporting to China to limit AI development will have limited effectiveness. If China solves the issues related to advanced chips and lithography technology, the global AI competitive landscape may undergo further changes.

Furthermore, Musk predicted that AI will first impact digital jobs such as software, and in the future, artificial intelligence programming capabilities may surpass those of 99% of software engineers. However, he believes that the productivity gains brought about by AI may drive society from a "universal basic income" towards a "universal high income," with work shifting more towards interests and social activities.
