Prince Group's 'Behind-the-Scenes Godfather' Hu Xiaowei Extradited to the United States

August 1st. Key figure of Prince Group, Hu Xiaowei (alias "Hu Shi", previously rumored as the "behind-the-scenes boss" Chen Zhi), left Japan on July 29th and was deported to the United States. Personnel from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have contacted him, and further related investigations will be conducted in the United States.

While in Japan, Hu Xiaowei previously used a Cypriot passport and operated under the identity of "Hu Shi". In June of this year, he was arrested by the Japanese police for allegedly violating the Japanese Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act. The Japanese prosecutors brought a summary indictment against him on July 24th and imposed a fine of approximately 100,000 yuan.

Hu Xiaowei played a crucial role in Chen Zhi's criminal group — he led Chen Zhi into the gray industry of the internet and was Chen Zhi's "elder brother". Hu Xiaowei, also known as Hu Yanming, Hu Shi (pronounced), and Chen Xiao'er. According to authoritative sources, Chen Xiao'er, who is sanctioned by the United States, Hu Yanming, who is subject to a restraining order issued by the Hong Kong Department of Justice, and Hu Xiaowei, the mastermind of the "Knight Attack Group" that was captured by the Chongqing Internet Police in 2010 for illegally invading computer systems, are the same person. According to confessions from core members of the "Knight Attack Group" at that time, Hu Xiaowei was one of the only two leaders in the group, while Chen Zhi was one of the group members and was not among the 19 core arrested members at that time.
