August 3rd, Cryptocurrency custody company BitGo announced the launch of a new platform, BitGo Link, allowing institutional clients to link their accounts on centralized exchanges such as Coinbase, Kraken, Crypto.com to the BitGo system, enabling unified management of digital assets.

BitGo stated that Link is designed to provide a single operational interface for institutional treasury teams to actively view and manage assets held on the BitGo custody platform and external exchanges, and supports users to directly initiate asset transfers for cross-platform rebalancing, meeting margin requirements, or capturing market opportunities.

The platform processes all transfer requests through the BitGo Policy Engine, where institutional users can set additional permission controls to restrict fund usage. Additionally, Link can automatically reconcile exchange records and track asset settlement status.

BitGo CEO Mike Belshe stated that Link will serve as the "control center" for institutional trading and fund management, assisting institutions in achieving more efficient asset allocation across different markets and platforms.

BitGo mentioned that Link is built on its existing Go Network and will continue to add more exchange support and expand institutional treasury management capabilities in the future.

Founded in 2013, BitGo is one of the leading cryptocurrency custody institutions in the United States, currently holding assets worth over $100 billion on its platform. The company is set to go public in 2026 and has received conditional approval for a U.S. trust bank charter. In June, BitGo announced a workforce reduction of about 15% due to an expanded net loss in the first quarter.
