Video | Huang Renxun Explains $500 Billion AI Financing: Must Treat Computing Power as Infrastructure Construction
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang explained the $500 billion AI investment during an interview with CNBC. He stated that AI is driving the most significant platform shift in the computing industry in 60 years, envisioning a future where computing becomes essential infrastructure for every company and country, similar to electricity and the internet. However, this endeavor is extremely costly. Huang noted that the cost of 1 exaflop of AI infrastructure is approximately $500 billion to $600 billion, involving energy, land, power, facilities, and computing power, thus requiring a significant influx of long-term capital in the future.
From his perspective, NVIDIA is also undergoing a transformation from a "chip-selling company," with its AI factory platform now serving as an infrastructure asset capable of generating sustainable revenue. As the demand for AI computing power expands, the massive investment wave around data centers and AI infrastructure is just beginning.
