Video | BlackRock CEO Larry Fink: Plans to Raise Trillions of Dollars for AI Infrastructure in the Coming Years

Aug 12, 09:00

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink stated in an interview with CNBC that AI and data center development are creating an unprecedented capital opportunity. He anticipates that the U.S. alone will need over 70 gigawatts of power to support AI infrastructure in the future, with a 100-megawatt data center potentially generating up to 3 million job hours. The industry is currently raising $500 billion in funds, but will require trillions of dollars in investment in the coming years.

Fink believes that computing power and data center financing are gradually becoming a new asset class, and this investment wave is just beginning. He even likened it to the birth of the mortgage-backed securities market in the 1970s, suggesting it could be the "next future of financial engineering."
