Manus will resume independent operation, and some users need to complete data backup by August 23rd.
August 11th – Manus announced that the company is about to resume independent operation. To complete this transition and meet regulatory requirements in some jurisdictions, affected users need to complete data backup by 7:59 am Singapore time on August 23rd and start data recovery from 8:00 am on August 25th to ensure normal use in the future. Manus stated that affected users will be notified via email and in-app notifications; users who registered using Apple ID or Facebook account should pay attention to in-app notifications. Affected users can back up multiple times before August 23rd and can continue to create data after the initial backup, then perform the backup again. Starting from 8:00 am on August 25th, the data recovery portal will be officially opened, and users can continue to use their previous data after completing the recovery. During the transition period, affected users will not incur any charges, and Manus will also provide rewards.
For users unaffected by this adjustment, no action is required, and they can continue to use Manus normally. The system will also confirm through in-app notifications that their accounts are unaffected. Manus stated that they understand the inconvenience this adjustment may bring to affected users and has provided detailed operational guidelines in the Help Center. The customer service team will also provide 24/7 support. Manus said they are preparing a series of new features aimed at further expanding the capabilities of the general AI intelligence agent and expressed their excitement about the company's prospects after resuming independent operation.
