Grok Bot Underlying Exposure: Persistent Linux Cloud Desktop, Multiple AIs Able to Share Login State
According to Dunfu Beating monitoring, Cursor team member Matt Palmer detailed how Grok Bot operates. It runs on the underlying infrastructure of a continuously online Linux virtual machine, providing a user experience similar to that of a persistent remote computer. Bots created by users can utilize the machine's files, browser, and login sessions.
For example, when a user logs into a website, other Bots can also continue to use that logged-in session until it expires. When encountering tasks such as SSO, two-factor authentication, CAPTCHA, or payments that require human intervention, the Bot will hand over control to the user to complete the task before resuming its activities.
Grok Bot also divides memory into three levels: user information known to all Bots, each Bot's individual long-term memory, and project memory shared among team members. Multiple Bots can join the same project to collaborate, initiate tasks automatically based on time, Slack messages, or Git events.
Its integration with Cursor goes deeper than meets the eye. Grok Bot directly leverages Cursor's plugins, connectors, and Skills, allowing developers to trigger Cursor Cloud Agents while coding.
