Robinhood has released its July operating data, showing a weak performance in cryptocurrency trading volume, which dropped significantly by 62% year-on-year.

By the end of July, the platform's registered funded accounts reached 28.5 million, an increase of approximately 1.77 million compared to the previous year. The platform's total assets were $355 billion, a year-over-year increase of 19%, but a 4% decrease from June. Net deposits in July were $5.6 billion, with an annualized growth rate of 18%.
The nominal stock trading volume was $333 billion, a 59% year-over-year increase. Options contract trading volume was 324 million contracts, a 66% year-over-year increase. Event contract trading volume was 6.1 billion contracts, a nearly 20-fold year-over-year increase. Cryptocurrency trading volume showed a weak performance, with the nominal crypto trading volume in July reaching only $10.9 billion, a 33% decrease from the previous month and a significant 62% year-over-year drop. In particular, trading volume on the Robinhood App for cryptocurrencies plummeted by 74% year-over-year.
Regarding interest-earning assets, the margin balance was $20.7 billion, an 82% year-over-year increase. The cash balance and deposits totaled $19.5 billion, a 34% year-over-year increase. Securities lending total revenue was $40 million, a 34% year-over-year decrease.
