Aug 15, 14:38

August 15th, ABFinance, a cryptocurrency financial platform founded by former Bybit Co-CEO Helen Liu, announced that the originally planned launch will no longer proceed and is currently undergoing an orderly shutdown.

ABFinance expressed gratitude on social media to all team members, community users, and partners involved in the building process, stating, "Thank you all for your trust, support, and faith along the way."

In March of this year, Helen Liu announced the launch of the entrepreneurial project ABFinance after leaving Bybit, with plans to create a one-stop financial platform connecting fiat and crypto assets, integrating functions such as deposits, yields, trading, and spending, emphasizing that the platform would be built under the U.S. regulatory licensing framework from day one.

According to previous reports, Bybit announced that Helen Liu would step down on April 30, 2026, and embark on a personal entrepreneurial journey.

However, only about 5 months after ABFinance announced the project plan, the platform has declared a halt to the launch and entered the shutdown process. The specific reason for the shutdown has not been disclosed by the official statement.
