Deutsche Bank launches crypto asset custody service for institutional clients.
September 16, according to Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank is launching a digital asset custody service, marking its first major foray into this field and reflecting the growing efforts of large European banks to expand their presence in the digital asset space.
The bank said in a statement on Wednesday that, after obtaining regulatory approval, institutional and corporate clients will be able to securely custody and transfer Bitcoin, Ethereum, and some stablecoins through Deutsche Bank later this year.
Deutsche Bank said it will gradually expand the range of supported assets in the future, potentially further including tokenized financial instruments.
