Tare completes $13.25 million seed round, led by Blockchain Capital.
September 16, according to Fortune, private credit infrastructure company Tare announced the completion of a $13.25 million seed funding round. The round was completed in March this year, led by Blockchain Capital, with participation from Janus Henderson, Strobe Ventures, Venture Dept, Neoclassic Capital, and the Avalanche Foundation. Aave CEO Stani Kulechov, Tether co-founder Phil Potter, and Privy CEO Henri Stern also participated in the investment. The company did not disclose its post-funding valuation.
Tare plans to use the funding to build loan management software on Avalanche, creating digital records for loans and automating back-office work such as record-keeping, payment distribution, and transaction verification. The company aims to consolidate the private credit process, currently fragmented across multiple service providers and internal systems, into a single platform, thereby reducing intermediary and operational costs.
The funding will also be used to expand the team, improve the loan management software, and apply for the licenses needed for its lending business Tare Credit LLC to operate across the United States.
