Former Hack VC Partner Hsin-Ju Reported Dead, Allegedly Exposed Company Forcing Her to Work While Ill Before Death

September 23, according to disclosures by crypto practitioner Jordy and local police reports, former Hack VC partner and platform head Hsin-Ju was found dead in August near the ramp of Interstate 15 in the Mojave Desert, California, at the age of 37. Investigative authorities stated that the cause of death is still under investigation, and it is currently unclear whether high temperatures, a sudden illness, mechanical failure, or other reasons led to her death.

Previously, on August 24, Hsin-Ju tweeted that she had rejected Hack VC's settlement offer and would publicly release relevant evidence from her time at Hack VC on August 26. Hsin-Ju previously stated that she was required to continue working despite a medical emergency during her employment, and was threatened by the company that if she resigned early before the event was completed, she would be blacklisted in the industry. After the incident, she accused the company of issues in handling her health insurance after her departure and of continuing to exert pressure during legal negotiations. She has now dismissed her lawyer and stated that she would rather forgo the settlement money than not make the matter public.

Subsequently, Hack VC tweeted that it had noticed the tweet and was deeply concerned about Hsin-Ju's health condition. It also stated that its understanding of the incident differs significantly from the content posted by Hsin-Ju, but out of respect for privacy, it does not wish to discuss the details publicly at this time.
