Muse announces 4 connectors in 24 hours: shopping, payments, hotel booking, and grocery shopping all connected.
Beating AI News Flash: Meta's personal AI Agent Muse announced 4 upcoming connectors within 24 hours, from Shopify, PayPal, Expedia, and Instacart respectively. After integration, Muse can directly call these services to complete shopping, payments, hotel bookings, and grocery purchases, no longer relying entirely on opening web pages itself to operate.
Shopify will integrate Shop Pay one-click checkout into all Shopify stores; PayPal will support Muse in shopping and checking out with PayPal merchants globally. Expedia can help Muse select and book hotels. Instacart is even more direct — users only need to say "Taco Tuesday," and Muse can generate a shopping cart based on store inventory, then hand it over to Instacart for checkout and delivery.
This batch of partnerships fills in Muse's most critical gap: transforming the Agent from "being able to operate websites" to "websites actively connecting their services to it." The former can be blocked by websites at any time — Amazon has already done so; with the latter, products, inventory, payments, and fulfillment are all provided by partner platforms, with Muse mainly responsible for understanding needs and initiating tasks. The more platforms integrated, the less it depends on browser-simulated clicks.
