South Korea to Block Websites of 27 Unregistered Cryptocurrency Trading Platforms

October 13 - South Korea will block the websites of 27 unregistered cryptocurrency trading platforms, further expanding its crackdown on overseas trading platforms beyond mobile apps.

The Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) announced on Tuesday that the Korea Communications Standards Commission approved the relevant restrictive measures after a review from October 6 to 7. The FIU pointed out that the websites of relevant trading platforms operated overseas will be blocked, while platforms operating within South Korea will face termination of services.
