October 27 - Esports club Ninjas in Pyjamas' parent company NIP Group has once again acquired a batch of Bitcoin mining machines, using over 247 million Class A ordinary shares as consideration. Following the completion of this transaction, the company's Bitcoin mining hash rate has reached approximately 13.85 EH/s, with an expected monthly mining output of about 195 BTC, valued at approximately $2.8 million per month at current prices. NIP Group founder and CEO Hicham Chahine stated that the company chose to increase its Bitcoin mining efforts when market enthusiasm has cooled and competition has relatively eased, and the deployment time required for the newly added mining machines is also shorter.

NIP Group had previously expanded its Bitcoin mining business, originally planning to achieve a monthly mining output of 160 BTC, and this acquisition raises the monthly output target to 195 BTC. Chahine stated that the company conducted a comprehensive assessment of all its businesses this year, focusing on improving profit margins and clarifying a path to profitability, and the Bitcoin mining business passed this assessment. He also noted that if the returns from AI computing business exceed those from Bitcoin mining in the future, the company may redirect some of its hash rate infrastructure toward AI computing. NIP Group is a digital entertainment company that owns esports operations including Ninjas in Pyjamas.
