Solflare: Security incident occurs at staking service provider, rewards for related validator nodes suspended.
October 28: Solana ecosystem wallet Solflare posted that a security incident occurred at its staking service provider, affecting the Solflare validator keys held by that provider, and an investigation is currently underway. As a result, the Solflare validator is currently unable to generate staking rewards.
Solflare stated that users' SOL remains safe and no user funds have been touched. Delegated staking assets are kept in users' own staking accounts and are controlled only by users' keys; neither the validator nor anyone holding its keys can transfer these assets.
Solflare will migrate to a new validator, and users' stakes will need to be migrated accordingly. Currently, users do not need to take action; subsequent app updates will provide secure migration guidance. Rewards will remain suspended until staking is activated on the new validator, and the team is formulating a compensation plan for all users who complete the migration. Migration will only be conducted through the Solflare app, and the official team will not DM users or send migration links.
