Tencent Cloud Drive beta test: integrates multiple AI Agents, 1TB space shared across products.
Beating AI News Flash: Tencent is internally testing a new version of "Tencent Drive," but this time it doesn't plan to compete with Baidu Netdisk on storage capacity. It aims to create a shared repository for multiple AI Agents, allowing different AIs to read the same batch of files and continue previous work.
Hands-on testing reveals that Tencent Drive already supports connections to Tencent Docs and WorkBuddy, and also offers integration options for third-party Agents such as OpenClaw and DeepSeek Harness. Tencent's official website also lists capabilities including cross-application search and allowing Agents to access cloud drive files via CLI and MCP.
This product was first exposed back in June this year, and in September it was integrated with WorkBuddy Enterprise Edition. In this hands-on test of the personal beta version, the free storage is only 5GB. After subscribing to Buddy One VIP, users can get 1TB, shared across WorkBuddy, Tencent Docs, ima, and Tencent Drive.
ByteDance is also developing a similar product called ADrive, attempting to let different Agents share a cloud-based working directory. Both tech giants are transforming cloud drives from file warehouses into shared workspaces that AI can directly read from and write to.
