Euronext suspends CoinShares Zcash ETP trading, citing settlement system unable to support it yet.
October 29 - Euronext suspended trading of CoinShares' newly launched Zcash ETP (ticker ZCSH) on the Paris market on October 28, just hours after the product's listing. A Euronext spokesperson stated that the suspension was due to the central securities depository (CSD) temporarily being unable to support standard settlement operations, rather than regulatory issues, and the product will resume once settlement conditions are met.
The product is fully backed by ZEC, denominated in euros, with an annual fee of 1.50%. Currently, Zcash ETPs from 21Shares, Virtune, and Valor are still trading in Europe. As of late October, Grayscale's Zcash fund in the U.S. had approximately $686 million in assets under management, with net inflows of about $41.1 million in the week of October 23.
