Largest crypto hack in history; all crypto hack markets on prediction platforms triggered settlement.
According to PolyBeats monitoring, in the early hours of October 30, Binance suffered the largest recorded crypto hack. As of publication, Binance's own preliminary estimate is approximately $6.3B, and it stated that about $3B of that has been frozen on-chain. Based on known figures, this loss is about four times the $1.5B stolen from Bybit in February 2025.
The scale of this incident caused multiple Polymarket-related markets to trigger settlement. The probability of "total crypto hacked in 2026 exceeds $4B" rose from 5% yesterday to 100% currently; the probability of "a crypto hack exceeding $100M this month" rose from 6% yesterday to 100% currently.
Traders who bought "No" on this event, believing there would be no black swan event, suffered total losses of nearly $5k.
