Shenzhen Economic Crime Investigation: Beware of "RWA Real Estate Tokenization" and "Blockchain Evidence Storage" Scams
On October 19, the Economic Crime Investigation Bureau of the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau issued a reminder to be wary of new types of scams packaged as "RWA real estate tokenization" and "blockchain evidence storage." The economic crime investigation unit pointed out that technical terminology does not equal trust endorsement. Technical practitioners can easily mistake "technically verifiable" for "project compliance and legality." Criminals infiltrate technical communities disguised as industry veterans, using in-group trust to lower others' vigilance. In addition, a contract address or company registration number only proves that the code exists and the entity is registered; it neither means the underlying asset actually exists, nor that the entity holds financial business qualifications.
