Tech hedge fund Augnition Global Investors, founded by former Sequoia executive Jeff Wang, completes $1 billion fundraising

On October 21, citing Bloomberg, Augnition Global Investors, a tech hedge fund founded by Jeff Wang, former head of Sequoia Capital's global equities business, has announced the completion of fundraising exceeding $1 billion. According to disclosed regulatory filings, the fund launched with at least $570 million in capital, of which about 45% was internal capital. Jeff Wang led Sequoia's global equities business for a decade, and during his tenure at Sequoia, the late-stage private companies he participated in investing in included ByteDance, SpaceX, Stripe and Airbnb. Augnition Global will primarily invest in listed and unlisted technology companies.
