ENSv2 Goes Live on Ethereum Mainnet

October 27 — Ethereum Name Service (ENS) has announced that ENSv2 is now live on Ethereum mainnet, launching alongside a new version of the ENS App and ENS Explorer. ENSv2 allows each name to set up an independent registry for its subnames and offers more granular permission settings, allowing multiple parties to jointly manage the same namespace. ENS said that more than 40 teams have completed v2 integration, including 1inch, Aragon, Arbitrum, Jumper, Lighter, MetaMask and Safe. Existing ENS names remain valid and do not need to be re-registered; eligible .eth names may opt to upgrade to v2. ENS has also issued a commemorative ENSv2 NFT.
