Crypto Hardware Wallet NGRAVE Says It Is Facing High-Level Cyber Threat, Warns Users Against Impersonators

Oct 28, 10:18

October 28: Crypto hardware wallet NGRAVE issued a security notice stating that it is facing a high-level cyber threat, and that its team is actively monitoring and responding. NGRAVE warned users to be on alert for impersonators contacting them via messages, emails, notifications, websites or support accounts, and stressed that it will never ask for a recovery phrase or the Perfect Key. The only situation in which a recovery phrase should be entered is when restoring a wallet on the ZERO device, and it must be entered on the ZERO's own screen — never on any phone, computer or website. As long as users have not entered their recovery phrase anywhere else, their keys remain safe when stored offline on ZERO.
