October 30: Binance co-founder Yi He said that user funds are safe and that Binance will bear all losses from the hack. Deposits and withdrawals will be temporarily suspended while the team conducts security checks, freezes funds and cooperates with law enforcement. After the investigation is complete, Binance will publish a full post-mortem and reminded users to rely only on official channels for updates.
