Trump's First Post-Election TV Interview Set: Sunday Night on '60 Minutes'

November 6 — According to CNN, Trump's first television interview since the Republican Party's crushing midterm election defeat is expected to be recorded on Friday, with "60 Minutes" correspondent Ross Douthat conducting the interview. It will air Sunday night. This will be Trump's first in-depth interview since the Republicans' sweeping electoral losses on Tuesday. CBS News sources confirmed the interview arrangement but cautioned that the interview has not yet formally taken place. A schedule released by the White House on Friday shows Trump will take part in a pre-recorded interview at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Trump pays close attention to "60 Minutes"; he occasionally posts criticism of the program on Truth Social and is well aware that it draws very high ratings. Last Sunday's broadcast averaged 10 million viewers, helped in part by the NFL game that aired before it.
