Nov. 7: According to statistics from third-party independent website Programs, the "blue wave" raised by US Democrats in the midterm elections has intensified market concerns over the pace of data center construction. As of Nov. 4, about half of the 69 data center projects canceled since 2024 were scrapped because of resistance from local residents, making it the leading cause of cancellation. The website also shows that at least 4 data center projects in the US have been canceled since October, and at least 17 were canceled in the third quarter — the highest since 2024. Since the second half of this year, canceled data center projects have approached the full-year 2025 total.
