Study: In Fed "pause-then-restart" rate hike scenarios, Bitcoin fell within 30 days of the hike in all 7 cases

Nov 7, 20:44

November 7 — According to Bitcoin News citing Crypto Briefing research, since 2016, when the Federal Reserve paused rate hikes once and then resumed, Bitcoin has recorded a decline within 30 days after the hike every time, with a median drop of 2.4%. The current situation matches this scenario: after hiking in September, the Fed paused in October and has recently hiked again (or is expected to). The research notes that the most similar historical case is 2018, when Bitcoin fell 42% between the midterm elections and the December rate hike. Although the sample is only 7 cases, the record currently stands at 0 wins and 7 losses.
