JINGDONG Coinlink Website Appears to Go Offline, After Missing Out on Hong Kong's First Batch of Stablecoin Licenses

Nov 8, 18:17

November 8 — The official website of JINGDONG Coinlink Technology Hong Kong Limited, the stablecoin issuance entity under JD.com, is currently inaccessible, and the exact time it went offline is not yet known. According to Qichacha information, the company's current business status remains "still registered."

JD.com previously announced plans to issue a stablecoin 1:1 pegged to the Hong Kong dollar in Hong Kong. JINGDONG Coinlink was selected for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's stablecoin issuer sandbox in July 2024, but the first batch of stablecoin issuer licenses issued by the HKMA in April this year went only to Anchorpoint, a joint venture led by Standard Chartered Bank, and to HSBC; JINGDONG Coinlink was not among them.
