Securitize Partners with LG CNS to Enter South Korea's Tokenized Assets Market
On October 7 that, according to Cointelegraph, U.S. security tokenization platform Securitize has announced a strategic partnership with South Korean tech giant LG CNS. The two parties have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop tokenized assets and digital asset infrastructure for Korean financial institutions.
Under the agreement terms, both companies will focus on exploring application scenarios such as tokenized funds, stocks, and stablecoins, while striving to uncover business opportunities across broader Asia-Pacific markets. This collaboration coincides with a pivotal moment as South Korean regulators prepare to roll out new regulations on tokenized securities; previously, proposed management guidelines from the Financial Services Commission (FSC) are expected to officially take effect in February 2027.
Fueled by this positive news, Securitize's stock surged nearly 8% in Tuesday trading, hitting an intraday high of approximately $12.60. Meanwhile, LG CNS also launched a completely new blockchain infrastructure platform on the same day, designed to assist traditional banks and financial institutions in supporting stablecoin issuance and custodial services.
