SpaceX's $40 Billion Financing Plan Reportedly Stalled, Investors Begin Reassessing Risks

On October 24, Bloomberg reported that SpaceX's proposed $40 billion AI financing plan has encountered obstacles. Sources revealed that SpaceX plans to raise funds through a special purpose vehicle (SPV), which would shift relevant liabilities off its balance sheet to protect SpaceX's own investment-grade credit rating. However, recent volatility in the credit markets has complicated negotiations over borrowing costs, and investors are starting to reassess the risks involved in financing large-scale AI infrastructure projects. Goldman Sachs is currently leading talks with investor groups headed by Apollo Global Management.
