Bitget Wallet launches USD/EUR virtual accounts, no US or EU ID required to open an account

Oct 27, 20:00

On October 27, Bitget Wallet officially launched its Virtual Account feature, enabling users without US or EU residency to open free real USD or EUR accounts directly within the wallet to receive salaries, freelance income, and cross-border remittances.

Backed by compliance support from licensed banking partner Noah, the feature is available globally and can be activated within minutes after completing KYC. It supports mainstream receiving channels including ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT, and SEPA, with transaction fees significantly lower than traditional remittance services. Once users transfer USD or EUR to their virtual accounts, the incoming funds are automatically and instantaneously converted into stablecoins, which can be directly used for in-wallet investments, crypto card spending, QR code payments, and other scenarios.

This initiative marks an expansion of Bitget Wallet's payment ecosystem from the "spending end" to the "receiving end," building a complete currency account system that covers receiving, saving, investing, and spending. Currently, Bitget Wallet serves over 100 million users worldwide. The launch of Virtual Accounts is a key step in advancing its Everyday Finance strategy, aiming to bring banking-grade receiving capabilities to the self-custody wallet ecosystem.
