Euronext Suspends Trading on CoinShares Zcash ETP, Citing Settlement System Limitations
On October 29, according to Cryptopolitan, Euronext halted trading of the newly launched CoinShares Zcash ETP (ticker ZCSH) on the Paris market on October 28, just hours after its launch. An Euronext spokesperson stated that the suspension was due to the Central Securities Depository (CSD) temporarily being unable to support standard settlement operations, rather than regulatory issues, and that the product will resume trading once settlement conditions are met.
The product is fully backed by ZEC, denominated in euros, with an annual fee of 1.50%. Currently, Zcash ETPs from 21Shares, Virtune, and Valor remain available for trading in Europe. As of late October, Grayscale's U.S. Zcash fund held approximately $686 million in assets under management, recording net inflows of around $41.1 million for the week of October 23.
