On October 30, Binance (@binance) issued a statement on the X platform stating that it has begun recovering assets for affected users and will continue to collaborate with law enforcement agencies, token issuers, blockchain intelligence firms, and industry partners to track, freeze, and recover additional funds. Binance stated that it has earmarked over $6.34 billion in corporate funds to cover losses from this incident, with $5 billion already held in the original form of the affected tokens, while the remainder is being purchased via markets and OTC channels to fill the gap. Due to low liquidity for some tokens and the time required for OTC settlement, this process may take longer. Binance also noted that it has currently frozen $3 billion, which is not included in the aforementioned reserve funds, and related assets are still being recovered and verified.
