Chainalysis Internal Systems Targeted in AI-Driven Attack, Customer Names and Email Addresses Leaked

On October 31, according to Bitcoin News, blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis stated that attackers used "agentic AI technology" to gain unauthorized access to its internal systems and tools, resulting in the leak of some customer information.

The leaked information includes customer names, email addresses, user IDs, and organizational role information. Chainalysis stated that there is currently no evidence indicating that passwords, multi-factor authentication (MFA) keys, session tokens, or sensitive investigation data were compromised.

Chainalysis also emphasized that this incident is unrelated to the recent $6 billion hack on Binance.
