November 3 – According to Bloomberg, Wang Ruomeng, an official at China’s National Development and Reform Commission, stated on Tuesday that China is fast-tracking AI legislation and will implement full-lifecycle regulation over AI development and applications, covering data, computing power, and other key stages. This framework aims to prevent increasingly powerful AI from slipping out of control and is considered one of the most comprehensive AI safety guidelines to date. The regulations will apply to major developers such as DeepSeek, Moonshot, and Alibaba, which are pushing to create products that can rival leading models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
