Cross River advances loan tokenization on Arbitrum One
On November 3, according to an official announcement from Cross River, Cross River has partnered with Offchain, the development company behind Arbitrum, to directly integrate tokenization capabilities into its lending platform, enabling assets issued by the platform to be financed, held, and transferred on Arbitrum One from inception.
According to the announcement, borrower applications, financing, and repayments will continue to be processed through the existing customer interface, backed by embedded ZeroDev wallet infrastructure. Cross River remains a regulated bank and lender, and the tokenization will not change loan underwriting, risk management, or compliance standards.
Both parties have completed the proof of concept for loan tokenization and are proceeding with production deployment, targeting an early 2027 launch.
