Ondo Files Comments on Transfer Agent Rules with SEC, Calls for Support of Public Chains

Nov 4, 23:16

On November 4, per Ondo's official blog, Ondo Finance has submitted a comment letter regarding the transfer agent rules proposed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), advocating for improved connectivity between tokenized security holders and issuers' transfer agents.

Ondo suggests that information requirements and legal reviews for routine transactions should align with the nature of the transaction, avoiding redundant collection of verified personal information or duplicative legal work without a clear purpose. Simultaneously, the rules should support public blockchains, not require transfer agents to control the entire network, and provide viable compliance pathways for smaller service providers.
