MEME DAILY - 3 Red Flags to Spot a Crypto Rug Pull Before Buying

Red Flag 1: Locked Liquidity Pools

What to check: Is liquidity locked? On Dexscreener / DexTools, click 'Liquidity'. If it says 0% locked or lock expires in 2 hours, dev can pull funds and price goes to zero.

Tool: Use Team.Finance or PinkLock to verify lock. No verifiable lock = don't buy.

Red Flag 2: Developer Token Concentration

What to check: Does dev wallet hold 30%+ of supply?

On Solscan / Basescan, check Holders. If top wallet holds 25-40% and it's not locked or vesting, they can dump on you.

Rule: Top 10 wallets should hold <30% combined for safe micro-cap.

Red Flag 3: Malicious Contract Permissions (Hidden Mint)

What to check: Can dev mint unlimited tokens?

On SolSniffer or TokenSniffer, check 'Mint Authority' and 'Freeze Authority'. If Mint is still enabled, dev can create 1B more tokens and dilute you.

Also check for hidden 'blacklist' function that can freeze your wallet.

Step-by-Step Framework for PIKA / SI276:

1. Paste contract in DexTools -> Check lock

2. Check Holders tab -> <30% rule

3. Run SolSniffer -> Mint disabled = green

If any of the 3 fails, skip. Capital preservation > FOMO.
