Gitcoin is a donation platform for open-source software, where users can support various decentralized open-source projects through Gitcoin. Early-stage projects can also receive donations on Gitcoin to sustain their operations.
Well-known projects such as Uniswap, 1inch, MaskNetwork, ENS, and others have participated in Gitcoin Grants, earning Gitcoin the nickname "Ethereum's War Chest."

In the guides we wrote for the past few donation rounds, we introduced Gitcoin's donation philosophy, round structure, and prize pool amount. However, as an extremely concise guide, it should be as easy to read as a 140-character tweet:

Gitcoin's donation rounds are divided into Planned Rounds (OSS Program rounds) and Community Rounds. The 1 million funds for Planned Rounds come from the Gitcoin Foundation, and the 500k funds for Community Rounds come from partners/community self-funding.

Q1: Why do I need to participate in Gitcoin's donation?
A1: Gitcoin donation is a good on-chain interaction. Optimism and Celestia have used "User's Gitcoin donation on the mainnet" as one of the weighting factors for airdrops. Donation is also a low-cost way to increase Passport scores.
Q2: How much should I donate?
A2: Although Gitcoin does not have a donation amount limit, the minimum amount for each project is at least greater than 1U. On the other hand, due to ETH price volatility, you can choose to donate in DAI; if donating with ETH, considering price fluctuations, it is recommended to donate 0.0005 ETH or more. (Note: Some project teams airdrop based solely on whether you donate, while others consider the donation amount as a weight.)
Q3: When should I make a donation?
A3: It is not advisable to donate too late, as donating in the last few days may encounter network congestion, causing you to miss the donation window. The donation Passport verification is now automated, so users can directly use a wallet with mainnet transaction records to donate and receive weight. Q4: Can I game the airdrop by donating with multiple accounts?
A4: Unfortunately, Gitcoin's airdrop expectations and rewards are not as generous as before. Now, it is more of a "weight" in airdrops for other projects. According to the instructions for this round of Gitcoin Grants, we suggest that users with multiple accounts focus on diversity when donating. You can adopt a 2+1 donation strategy, meaning donating to 2 target projects and 1 random project, while avoiding a too regular donation pattern in terms of amount and timing.
Q5: What tools can I use to track donations?
A5: Users can use Chaineye to view project information based on donation amount and number of donors. They can also use MiniBridge to bridge funds to the ARB chain for donations, which can significantly reduce network fees.

You can search for the project name to find the recipient, for example, search for Minibridge, then click on the cart icon at the bottom right of the project, and proceed to checkout at the cart in the upper right corner.
