SBF accepted an interview for the first time in nearly 10 months: He insisted that he was innocent and used "rice" for arbitrage trading in prison

1. SBF spoke to the media face-to-face for the first time since he was detained in the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in August 2023.
2. SBF's diet in prison is mainly vegetarian, and he mainly survives on beans and rice. Rice has become a trading currency inside MDC.
3. SBF has lost 25 pounds and is no longer so fat and neurotic. He insisted in the interview that he was the scapegoat for the bankruptcy of FTX.
4. SBF has filed a notice that he is appealing the fraud and money laundering charges and believes that he should be subject to civil rather than criminal penalties.
5. SBF asked to stay in MDC until he files an appeal, which should be in July, but according to the terms of the law, he can be transferred at any time.
