Huang Renxun Meets U.S. Commerce Secretary, Discusses Producing $500 Billion in Tech Products in the U.S. Over Four Years
July 29th, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang met with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on Tuesday. Jensen Huang's visit aimed to meet with leaders of both parties to discuss NVIDIA's plan to produce $500 billion worth of technology products domestically in the United States within four years to strengthen the national supply chain, as well as America's leadership in the AI field, including its leading edge in open source.
Jensen Huang's trip to Washington this week also includes meetings with Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chairman Mark Warner and other bipartisan members of Congress. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is finalizing a new framework that requires advanced AI models to provide early access to the U.S. government before their release and is weighing its policy position on open source AI.
