Meituan's Kung Fu Panda Core Team Undergoes Changes: Pre-training and Post-training Leaders Successively Leave

According to DeepInsight Beating Monitor, Meituan's LongCat text-based model's original multimodal lead, Pei Peng, has confirmed his resignation and is no longer involved in team decisions. LongCat's lead training officer, Su Hui, has also left and joined another top-tier tech firm.

Peng was previously in charge of the text base, original multimodal, and pre-training, and was involved in driving LongCat 2.0 forward. Hui was responsible for the alignment, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning of the LongCat series models, while also leading the Beam project under the Agent initiative. The two were respectively responsible for the two key links of model training.

Meituan had previously denied Peng's departure on July 27.
