August 2nd - The Trump Media Group officially launched the paid data service Truth API, providing customers with faster access to posts from Trump and other top accounts on the Truth Social platform. This service charges up to $100,000 per month and is mainly targeted at trading firms and enterprises.

The interim CEO of the Trump Media, Kevin McGurn, stated that Truth API aims to provide institutions with a "direct, licensed, real-time, and most market-influential Truth post data feed." Trump's @realDonaldTrump account currently has 13 million followers, and some of his key policy decisions are first announced on Truth Social.

Prior to the launch of this service, U.S. Democratic Senators Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren had written to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, requesting an investigation into whether the Trump Media has violated any laws. They argued that this service could constitute an attempt to leverage the presidential office for personal gain, potentially harming retail investors and market integrity.

The Trump Media stated that Truth Social posts have already shown the ability to influence the market, and the Truth API will drive the company's commercialization of its proprietary data assets through a high-profit margin and recurring revenue model.
