Chinese-led Blockchain International Standard Proposed at ISO

August 3rd. According to CCTV News, the internationally led standard "Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) technical framework and functional requirements" has recently been accepted by the International Organization for Standardization. Countries including Germany, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Portugal, and Uganda will participate in its development.

This standard will specify technical requirements in three areas: in terms of infrastructure and network, it will standardize the underlying resources and the construction and operation of blockchain networks. In terms of service management and smart contracts, it will unify the platform's service catalog and the full lifecycle management process of contracts. In terms of data interaction and security protection, it will clarify on-chain data access, privacy protection, and security and compliance mechanisms.
