AI search engine Exa claims to have indexed 80 billion web pages and vows to catch up to Google's scale next year.

According to Dongcha Beating monitoring, AI search engine Exa CEO Will Bryk stated that Exa currently has indexed 80 billion webpages and tracks 1.4 trillion URLs.

He estimated that Google indexes about 1 trillion webpages, Bing around 500 billion, and Yandex around 200 billion. Google peaks at processing about 500,000 searches per second, while Bing does around 30,000.

Exa plans to reach a level close to Google in terms of indexing and traffic by early 2027. As a single Agent task may be split into dozens of searches, they have started to scale up to Bing's peak traffic.

Bryk anticipates that within two years, Agent may initiate searches in the millions per second. By then, Exa will need to surpass today's Google in both index scale and search throughput.
