A certain whale shorted Bitcoin with 40x leverage, with a position worth approximately $103 million

August 5th, according to OnchainDataNerd monitoring, a new wallet deposited 2.44 million USDC and opened a 40x leveraged short position of 1600 BTC, with a position value of approximately $102.6 million. The entry price was around $64,202, and the liquidation price was around $64,889.

The position was only about $687 away from the liquidation price, with very little room for error.
