Trump Announces Will A. Shaw to Serve as Assistant to the President and White House Counsel

August 10, On August 9 local time, US President Trump announced via social media that current White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows will serve as Assistant to the President and White House Counsel starting September 1, succeeding David Wolkinson.

Trump said Meadows has performed exceptionally well as White House Chief of Staff and previously served as the Chairman of the National Capital Planning Commission. It is reported that Meadows had assisted in advancing the Commission's approval of a White House banquet hall project worth hundreds of millions of dollars. (CCTV News)
