Analysis: Bitcoin Whales Concentration Rises to 14.8%, Volatility Risk is Building

Aug 10, 12:30

August 10th. Independent analyst Murphy stated in a post that the BTC concentration of holdings has risen to 14.8%, approaching what he calls the "high-risk zone." He pointed out that the risk here does not necessarily mean that the BTC price will go up or down, but rather that market volatility may increase.

Based on historical data analysis, when the concentration of holdings curve starts to turn, if the BTC price was previously in an uptrend, the probability of continued upward movement may be higher; conversely, if the price was in a downtrend, the probability of continued downward movement may be higher.

However, the concentration of holdings curve is currently still rising, so it is not possible to determine at the moment which direction BTC is more likely to move in next. Nevertheless, market risk is accumulating, and volatility may be brewing.
